In my early ‘20s, I had a lucky top. It was ivory, sleeveless, had a lace bodice, cinched at the waist and then went peplum. I wore it to absolutely everything that required a little extra luck. I got it at some random boutique so could never replace it after it had turned a weird color after the zillionth wash. I’ve been looking for my new lucky charm ever since and think I found it with this off the shoulder yellow top. This cutie has gotten me through a first date, a job interview (granted it was for a stylist position so business casual was not required), a creative networking event and many others. Maybe it’s the color? I own very few yellow things, but I think the shade reminds me that almost anything can be accomplished with a golden attitude. I find myself reaching for it whenever I need to successfully adult, you know? What’s your go-to outfit in these situations?
Baring your shoulders isn’t just for summer! I know this top will take me from warm summer evenings into early fall with the right accessories. Swap out the white jeans for a blue pair, add a chunky brown heel, layer some gold jewelry, don a suede purse and we’re in business.
What’s on your agenda today? Would y’all be interested in a day in the life post? I love reading those on other blogs I follow but don’t know if my life is interesting enough, lol! It’ll be a lot of blogging, drinking rosé, repeat but if you’re game, I’m game!
xx
