Hi guys! Happy almost Memorial Day! What are your plans for the holiday weekend? I will be at the Bel Air Bay Club working on my tan—Who am I kidding? I’m scared of Botox/skin cancer, so I will be reapplying 55 SPF every hour on the hour but hey a girl can dream, lol!
I have been very into one-pieces lately (evidence here, here and here). I used to feel like I should rock a bikini until I have kids and it all goes downhill buttttt one-pieces are so chic and it’s fun to mix things up! I have always wanted a Marysia bathing suit. Their scallop design gets me every time. When my friend Erica generously gave me this bathing suit, I told her I would love her forever and name my first child after her, lol! Just like a little black dress, every girl should have a little black swimsuit too, right? I know this designer is pricey but have no fear because Target has a very similar style available in 7 different colors on sale for $35. Thank you, Target. We love you.
I have always thought of Memorial Day as the unofficial beginning of summer, so I have been dreaming about all the fun things I want to do this season! I also want my summer bucket list to cover all the activities I’ve said I’ve wanted to do in LA but haven’t made time for before. Here’s what is on my list:
-Go to the movies in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery
-Get a group together for Malibu Wines + Malibu Wine Safaris
-Have a picnic at Will Rogers Park (s’mores included!)
-Throw a luau-themed party
-Host a beach bonfire + clambake for the 4th of July
-Visit The Broad
-Drink a margarita out of a pineapple at Pink Taco!
-Dye my hair pink *okay maybe I’ll just settle for clip-in pink hair extensions, lol!
-Discover treasures at The Melrose Flea Market
-Have a staycation at the Malibu Beach Inn (consume many lobster rolls)
-Celebrate Bastille Day with a French backyard dinner
-Have a glass of wine at sunset at El Matador Beach
-Explore the Griffith Observatory
-Indulge in high tea at The Huntington
–Rent a sailboat out of the Marina
-Go to my first Dodgers game!
-Eat my way through Smorgasburg downtown
-Spend an afternoon in a part of LA I haven’t been to before like Echo Park
-Bike from Santa Monica to Venice
-Make honey-lavender ice cream at home
-Take a meditation class on the beach
-Get a pedicure at Olive & June
-Drive up the coast through Big Sur and Carmel and end up at a winery in Napa!
Am I missing anything? What’s on your summer bucket list?!
Thanks for reading and wishing you many sunny beach days ahead! Obviously there is no such thing as too many bathing suits, so I’m sharing more of my favorites below : )
