My favorite holiday
is almost here! (Okay, 4th of July is actually my third favorite
holiday. Christmas and my birthday trump 4th of July in my book).
I’ve always loved spending the holiday at the beach, but this year is going to
be a little different! My best friend, the lovely and fabulous Kendall Davis,
is coming to visit me in NYC. I know the entire city disappears to their summer
shares in the Hamptons, but Kendall and I are going to have a fun “stay-cation.”
I’ve been brainstorming a bunch of activities for us to do in the city over the
long weekend. Did I leave anything out?
1.
Eat dessert before dinner at Georgetown Cupcakes
in Soho.
2.
Indulge in a boozy brunch at the Central Park Boathouse.
3.
Hit all the consignment shops in search of
vintage Chanel. A girl can dream right?
4.
Channel our ultimate girl crush Zooey Deschanel
at the She & Him concert in Central Park.
5.
Make patriotic pops in our tiny kitchen.
6.
Shop ‘til
we drop at the
Kate Spade Saturday 24-hour window shops opening.
7.
Find treasures at the Long Island City Flea Market.
8.
Watch the Macy’s fireworks with a hot dog in
hand.
9.
Get our burger fix at Shake Shack.
10. Take advantage of
happy hour at the
Standard Biergarten on the High Line.
