Hi guys! Happy almost Memorial Day! What are your plans for the holiday weekend? I will be at the Bel Air Bay Club working on my tan—Who am I kidding? I’m scared of Botox/skin cancer, so I will be reapplying 55 SPF every hour on the hour but hey a girl can dream, lol! I have been very into one-pieces lately (evidence here, here and here). I used to feel like I should rock a bikini until I have kids and it all goes downhill buttttt one-pieces are so chic and it’s fun to mix things up! I have always…
Hi everyone! My friend Katherine is joining me on Brooke du jour today! Isn’t she adorable? We are both fairly new to LA and met at a fashion panel in February. We became fast friends once we realized we were both journalism majors at SMU, have blogs and appreciate a good happy hour! We even saw Ryan Gosling at our last drinks date—Obviously the best moment of my entire life. He is even better looking in person if that is even possible! Katherine and I recently had a fun breakfast at Malibu Farm. We were both clearly feeling the Memorial Day/4th…
Hi gals! How was everyone’s Mother’s Day? My family and I had a fabulous time at Ivy at the Shore. I threw life a curveball and went for the shrimp tostada instead of the shrimp tacos. I know- it was a big step outside of my comfort zone, lol! After brunch, my mom and I went on a long walk in the neighborhood and just chatted. Aren’t mommy daughter heart-to-hearts the best? Bonus points if you’re matching—My mom and I both have these star leggings! My mom saw them on my blog and demanded the same pair for Mother’s Day,…
Hi ladies! How is your week going? I am still on cloud 9 after a very successful first meeting of The Fromagaholics! My friend Erica and I both love entertaining so we did what any cheese lover would do and started a wine and cheese club! I have a few quick snaps on my Instagram Story but I’m going to try to take blog photos next time to share the spread with y’all. The highlight was the brie and honeycomb—and the party favors. I may or may not be enjoying the mini wine bottle as we speak—and no I’m not…
Last week, my brother knew I was in a funk about my transition from Dallas to LA, so he invited me to his meditation class. The group typically meditates for about 30 minutes and then has a discussion afterward about some kind of theme. The actual meditation part was interesting (sitting still for 30 minutes is hard though!), but I got the most out of the group discussion. We talked about living generously with others and ourselves, and it has been weighing on my heart a lot the past few days. I think most of us were taught from a…
