I love this romantic top for date night. Blush, lace and off the shoulder? Yes please! The off the shoulder trend was huge this summer, and I’m still baring ‘em well into winter. I’ve been wearing this top lately with a darker lip, my favorite leather jacket (easily the most worn item in my closet) and my new blush booties (yes you read that right- blush booties!)

What is everyone up to this weekend? Besides gorging myself on Trader Joe’s peppermint bark, I have two Christmas parties on the calendar + plans to de-clutter my closet/life (uggggg! Is there anything worse?!) I’m also planning to finish reading Shonda Rhimes’ book, “The Year of Yes.” Have you read it? It’s so good. This is actually my second time reading it and trust me, this book requires a highlighter and a journal to take personal notes of your favorite parts. Shonda is the queen of Thursday night, the beloved creator of Meredith and Derek and the glorious woman who taught us how to stand in the sun. Despite her insane amount of success, Shonda used to prefer to stay in her safe bubble saying no to anything and everything that made her uncomfortable. On Thanksgiving, her sister tells her she never says yes to anything and it’s a huge wake up call. Shonda decides to spend one year saying yes to everything- no matter how terrifying it may seem. I keep going back to this part,

“Yes to everything scary.
Yes to everything that takes me out of my comfort zone.
Yes to everything that feels like it might be crazy.
Yes to everything that feels out of character.
Yes to everything that feels goofy.
Yes to everything.
Everything.
Say yes.
Yes.
Speak. Speak NOW.
‘Yes,’ I say. ‘Yes’”

I highly encourage pouring yourself a large glass of red wine and diving into Shondaland this weekend!

I heard Shonda’s TED talk on the year of yes but I didn’t realize she had written a book! I will definitely have to get my hands on that one!
