Hi girls! How are y’all? Is it Friday yet? Mary Liz, my bestie from college, is staying with me in LA this weekend and I AM EXCITED. Like really really excited. You probably remember Mary Liz from her multiple appearances on Brooke du jour, lol! I threw her a “Party Like A Pineapple” welcome home brunch last summer and she helped organize my “California Love” going away party in December. Check out both events if you’re looking for inspo for bachelorette parties, birthday parties, etc!
I have a very packed itinerary for us and rain be damned we are going to have a fabulous time! Some highlights- snowcone margaritas at Gracias Madre, sweatin’ at SoulCycle in Brentwood and exploring the Venice Canals. I’m well aware this is nothing cool to brag about, but I’m kind of the itinerary queen. I love making them. I think I was a travel agent in a past life, lol?! Would y’all be interested in a blog post on what to do for a weekend trip to LA? I think that would be really fun!
Anyways let’s talk about this dress, shall we? I have always been firmly in the Team Jen camp, but the leg slit in this dress is giving me Angelina vibes that I have to admit I don’t hate, you know? I feel like it’s one of those maxi dresses that works from spring-fall (well if you live in LA, lol) depending on how you style it because of the dark florals. Lately I’ve been dressing it up with black heels and gold hoops for dinner. I think this dress would also look cute for brunch (go to The Butcher’s Daughter in Venice!) with studded sandals and a slouchy sweater. FYI it runs large so size down. I ordered a small but should have gone with the XS. I also recommend having a steamer on hand for when you want to rock this baby. Of course I have at least two steamers but couldn’t find any of them before taking these photos *eyeroll* (I moved over 3 months ago but still have a few boxes left to unpack in the garage- oops!)
I have been getting a little too “credit card-happy” at Revolve lately. They have so many great things for spring and summer, so I’m giving you fair warning that it’s impossible to not add at least a few items to your cart. If you’re going to Coachella or want to look like you’re going to Coachella, then you know Revolve is your #1 spot. I also love their “Back On Site, Back In Cart” restock section because lol that is the story of my life. Anyone else?!
Thanks for reading and see you back here on Fri-yay! xx
