A few weeks ago, I celebrated my 24th birthday with my sweet friends at a fabulous brunch! I owe a massive thank you to my friend Alex, who is a party planner extraordinaire and spent literally an entire day helping me make the floral garland and cake! Ladies, I hope you have a friend like Alex in your life! To make the floral garland, we bought an insane amount of flowers from Trader Joe’s and blocks of special foam from Michaels. We just wet the foam and then stuck the flowers in to create the garland. The process took several hours, but it was so worth it when the garland turned out beautifully! I knew I wanted a naked cake, so Alex and I took some inspo from Pinterest. We made a French vanilla cake with strawberry frosting. We decorated the cake with flowers because clearly flowers were a big theme for this event!

We hosted the brunch at Le Bilboquet, a cute French restaurant and one of my favorite spots in Dallas. We nommed on blueberry pancakes, brioche French toast, southwestern eggs and Cajun chicken. I heard rave reviews about everything but especially the French toast!

I love planning and hosting parties, so I’m seriously bummed I have to wait another year until my next birthday! Does anyone want me to plan their next party in the meantime?? ; )
