1) What inspired you to create Anne Sisteron in 1997?
The reason I decided to start my company is that I was invited to a
wedding and knew exactly what jewelry I wanted to wear with my dress. Meanwhile
everywhere I looked in the stores they were charging fortunes. As a GIA Gemologist
I knew what it would cost to make so I made my own and I got tons of
compliments and orders at the wedding, from a very sophisticated and savvy
fashion crowd. So I was knew I was on to something and that is how it all began…

2) Congrats on your business expansion! Why did you develop a men’s
line?
I decided to carry a men’s line of very exclusive and luxurious
products as the women shopping in my store are always asking me where to go to
buy gifts for the men in their lives. So I realized a need for the man who has
‘everything.’ It is actually a lot of fun choosing for that part of the store,
and so different from my jewelry side.

3) Is there one piece you have designed that is particularly
meaningful to you?
Probably the grey pearl necklace I designed for the wedding to wear. I
am still obsessed with grey pearls and always have a style reminiscent of that
initial piece.

4) How have your world travels influenced your designs?
Having lived in many different countries I feel like my store is an
eclectic mix of all the cultures I have experienced and therefore represents
all my favorite looks from those countries.

5) If you could envision one movie star
(past or present) wearing your jewelry whom would it be?
Gwyneth Paltrow hands down. She
represents everything I love. A clean modern look, always with her finger on
the pulse, yet classic at the same time. She always gets it right.
