My makeup routine is pretty consistent year round, but I like to mix it up a bit for the holidays to get into a festive spirit! Grab a glass of champagne and some peppermint bark and let’s go over my tips to get you ready for your next holiday party!

My MAC pearl highlighter doubles as an eyeshadow base, so I put that on first. Then I grab my MAC 217 and 239 brushes for my eyeshadow. I recently bought the MAC Burgundy Times Nine eyeshadow palette, which I love! It has such a great collection of nine shadows and it’s only $32! This palette is pure magic for holiday parties, and it would also be a really cute present for a friend. Your friends would freaking love you! I apply Honey Lust first- It has such a pretty, soft sheen. Then I put Haux in the outer corners of my eyes and sweep through my creases as well as in my inner corners. Next I use Embark on my lash lines and make ‘em smoky! I add more primer underneath my eyes and put Honey Lust in the inner corners and Haux and Embark through the lash lines. I add liquid eyeliner on top and kind of stamp it as I go across my lash line. My hands can get kind of shaky so I hold my elbow to get a straight line. Next up I add a ton of mascara and brown eyeliner on my waterline to create that party eye!

I use the same moisturizer, foundation, concealer, powder and blush that I went over in this post.

Then I grab my MAC pearl highlighter again and dab it under my brow bones, above my brows and through my cheekbones like in a C shape to add dimensionality. I also put highlighter on the bridge of my nose. I used to be scared of highlighter, but I promise it’s fabulous when used sparingly! I almost don’t remember life without highlighter now, lol!

I finish off with MAC Craving lipstick! As much as I love red lips, Craving feels a bit unexpected for holiday parties but still pretty and festive.

The holidays are such a busy time with party after party and you’re using your makeup a lot! Remember to clean your brushes and your eyeshadow palettes, powders, etc! The beautyblender blendercleanser is absolute magic on your brushes. I just spritz rubbing alcohol on my eyeshadow palettes, powders and other beauty products like that to keep ‘em germ free!
