Summer Friday

How often do you feel the urge to travel? I’m not sure if it’s the realization that Labor Day is right around the corner or that Summer Fridays are about to disappear and I never got that sunny tan, but I’m feeling desperately in search of an adventure. I’ve been devouring travel magazines and screenshotting my favorite globe trotters’ Instagrams even more than usual now that my wanderlust is at an all-time summer high. I want to run through lavender fields in Provence, dive off an over-the-water bungalow in Bora Bora, catch some rays under the pink umbrellas in Miami, raise a pinky during high tea at Sketch in London, swing on a beachside hammock in Tulum (preferably wearing this bikini), devour lobster rolls in Nantucket, spend the day in a pink villa in the French Riviera, soak up the view by the sea in Positano, sip an umbrella drink on a pink-sand beach in the Bahamas… So many magical spots!

Let’s get away, shall we? If we’re beach-bound, this one-piece will for sure be in my suitcase. I love the vibrant print and color and y’all know how I feel about tassels. A one-piece might not typically be your boyfriend’s swimsuit of choice on you, but this one has the perfect amount of fire with its lace-up neckline and cheeky bottoms (it’s a tasteful amount of tush, I promise lol!) As much as I love throwing on a simple striped T-shirt as a cover up, a kimono can be an unexpected and glam way to mix up your beach look. Kimonos are going to be everywhere this fall, and I’m hopping on the bandwagon a bit early. I’ve worn this lilac one over a swimsuit and also over a grey tank top and white ripped jeans out to dinner. It adds bohemian charm to any outfit : )

I think the only things about traveling that I don’t like are leaving our dog Finn at home and weight limits on luggage (such a buzz kill!)
